As you know, if nothing else, Elvis has always been a common occurrence on my blog (as well as over at
The Nanner Stand). Whether seen on a
post at an apartment, Deano playing
skinny/young Elvis,
fat/older Elvis, a
mural on the wall of The Garage or "Flat E" in
Times Square, he has always popped up on The Pad. And, it just so happens that during my recent trip to China and a trip to Sin City by faithful blog reader and random poster LaJeanna, Elvis was spotted so I thought I would post pictures. Also, within the last week I received an insert in a magazine soliciting the Elvis "Aloha from Hawaii" Horseshoe Ring (my next purchase). This made me realize how big of an American Icon Elvis is and almost anywhere you go, so is he. I would like to see just how many different times my readers come in contact with some form of Elvis over the next month. So, as an ongoing challenge, I ask my loyal readers to snap those pictures of Elvis and send them in for posting. It could be a picture in a magazine, an Elvis portrait your Mom took at a concert back in '70 or simply a mention of his name in an article. Hey, this could be the closest you ever get to your 15 minutes of fame!
