Random Thoughts

--That's my hero (above). He also has Brettsky-like tendancies.
--Got my U2 tickets for Soldier Field in Chi-Town in the mail last week. September is a long time away.
--It must have been U2 week because I also received the CD Medium, Rare & Remastered the same week. Two Cd's of songs cut from albums or with a differet sound/lyrics....Pretty good stuff.
--I have slept way too much since my return from Turkey.
--Some people are big chit-chatters. I'm not one of them.
--In general, I never answer my front door. I've discovered that 95% of the time I didn't want to see who was on the other side.
--I'm suspicious of people that constantly brag how wonderful their life is.
--I'd like to see the process of my dress shirts being laundered at the cleaners.
--Every big time business guy in the old movies had a bar in his office. I've never seen an actual bar in an office.
--I always think the seasons should be capitalized, but I think I'm wrong about that.
--Small irritation: When anyone ends a point with "'Nuff said."
--There's a mass shooting every week now. What is-a goin' on?
--I gained four pounds on my last trip.
--I'm not sure where this Lady GaGa came from. Terrible.
--In all, I watched 7 movies on the trip to and from Istanbul. What else was I going to do, read?
--Most confusing Google street map ever.
--Odd baseball thought: Was there ever a time when the umpire, after a foul ball, would throw a new ball out to the pitcher instead of handing it to the catcher?
--Saw someone mention yesterday they are already sick of Susan Boyle of Britain's Got Talent. True that.
--Madden thought #1: I caught a replay of a game on the NFL Network that Madden did about 10 years ago. It's amazing how much energy he's lost over the years. Ten years ago he was yelling the tiresome cliches of "This is as good as it gets! This is what it''s all about!" as the kickoff happened.
--Madden thought #2: I wonder how much he has made simply by licensing his name to the Madden NFL video game.
--The Boston Marathon was yesterday and I have no idea who won. Let me guess: An Ethiopian?
--does anyone use Twitter besides Jimmy Joe Meeker?
--I'm gonna post some pictures of Turkey at some point. Haven't really even downloaded them yet.
