It's Not Casper but....

Okay, everyone knows I love the paranormal and am addicted to Ghost Hunters, Ghost Hunter International, Paranormal State......and the list goes on and on. One of my co-workers knows about my slight obsession and sent me this picture. Her daughter when on a "ghost tour" in New Orleans and the guide said that ghosts had shown themselves in pictures before at this location. So, once developed, here is what was found. Can you spot them in the middle of the street? At first I just thought people were walking down the street and the picture blurred but look closely. Nothing else is blurred and you can clearly see the cars through the bodies. The person (or ghost) on the left has on blue jeans and white tennis shoes. The other looks like a kid perhaps. What do you think?

Oh yea, did you know Mobile has a Paranormal Society? I may just have to join MOPI!

I hate to be the bubble buster...but this is a classic example of accidentally taking what is known as a "ghost shot". I say accidentally because it usually requires a camera that has a manual setting. By adjusting the aperture and shutter speed you can actually "ghost out anything that is moving in the shot. In fact you could take a picture of Bourbon street on a Saturday night and, with the right setting, produce a picture that has no drunks in it. I have seen several good ones and have shot a couple lousy ones. What you have here is clssic example of the camera trying to adjust to the low light and ghosting out the walkers. Check it out on line. This type of shot was once a secret of ghost hunters around the world. It is fun to pretend though! Meeker is such a downer!

I was sworn to that no one was in the street when the picture was taken. But, thanks Meeker, you have ruined everything.
