Hey, It's Your Birthday...

Well, I celebrated my 35th Birthday Saturday. That's right...the BIG 3-5, that's 3.5decades! Yeah, I do feel older but, on the bright side, I also feel wiser and less fat too. I had a multitude of options I could have partaken in but, as a whippersnapper growing up with 80's music I chose to take in the Bryan Adams concert at the Saenger Theater. I have to tell you, I was pleasantly surprised. It was an all acoustic set with the piano used in a few songs. He made great banter with the audience and did some storytelling too. Yes, he is known for his romantic songs (all of which he played) but mixed with some of his newer stuff and hits like Run To You, Summer of 69 and Cuts Like a Knife it was very enjoyable. So, call me what you want but I have to say you really missed a great concert. I know Isaac over at WNSP took a lot of flack last week for attending am I am curious to see what he has to say about it today. To be honest, it was as a mixed crowd as I have ever seen. So, I leave you with one of his you may not know...

BONUS REVIEW:

I also saw Gran Torino with Eastwood Friday night. A must see! You wouldn't know it from the previews but 80% comedy and 20% drama. Within the first 15 minutes I thought "Oh no, he is going to over act that Dirty Harry image" but man, it all came together for a really enjoyable movie. But do not go if you get mad at people for making racist remarks -- there's LOTS!

Torino is on my to do list for sure. You can't go wrong with a Bryan Adams especially sfter his Today Show appearance. The host was obviously a huge fan of summer of 69 song and asked him what was so special about that summer. Then in great live tv fashion he proceeds to tell her that the song has nothing to do with the year 1969 but is a sexual reference to the 69 position. The look on her face.....priceless!

He mentioned the 69 thing the other night as well.

Is it just me or does his haircut make his legs look chubby?
