Random Shots Around Beijing...

Our waitress Marylou (below), who was really fun, in the small local restaurant (above) in LangFang. Yes, Marylou. Chinese learn English at a very early age and their teacher makes them take an English name of their choice. So, basically, they have two first names (English and Chinese). My translators name was Pinky.

My man playing it cool with the sunglasses (above) for the ladies (below). If you click on the picture you will notice he is putting his glasses on upside down.

Wait, where did this come from?

A couple in traditional dress near a lake where we ate lunch.

It's CHiPs (China Highway Patrol!

To the left is Beijing National Stadium also called the "Birds Nest" because of it's look. The Stadium will host track and field competitions as well as the opening and closing ceremonies for the 2008 Olympic Games.

The crazy traffic and skyline. Beijing is huge. You could literally drive for 10 miles and still be in "downtown".
