All over the city you will see signs on lightpoles that citizens put up (promoting things such as yard sales, businesses, items for sale, lose 50 pounds in 30 minutes, etc.). Draped across this sign you will more than likely see a yellow and black banner that reads: "Illegal Sign"
First of all, why does the city pay someone to actually drive around and look for these signs? Secondly, why wouldn't one just take the original sign down instead of leaving it up and putting ANOTHER banner over it? If the purpose is to "clean up" the city then it just seems they are defeating the purpose. It doesn't make much sense to me.
Chalk this one up to another thing that annoys me.
