Waterworld!

After the Great McNeil Flood of 2009 I am still living on a concrete slab. My Kayak was floating from room to room and all that was missing was children and a slip and slide. However, I am getting closer to some sort of normalcy tho. I have narrowed down my new flooring for the bedrooms and living room to two choices but still need to pick out tile for the bathrooms and kitchen. 15 machines out of my house, check. Water finally out, check. Adjuster, check. Measurements, check. Contractor, check. Swept up 6 pounds of dirt, check. Able to move around in my kitchen and spare rooms due to tons of furniture piled in...nope.

And, to top it off, I heave to head to Germany on Saturday for a week which will make it that much longer. Hopefully I can get everything finalized before I leave so, when I get back, the contractor can get to work and get out. This has really been a crazy and costly experience. Two separate freak floods in one month. Kind of hard to believe still. I may not know much but I know this, the main water valve to my house will be shut off when I leave for Saturday. Not even an ounce! Sorry kids.
