Hometown News

Each week I will try and post an article, photo or news item from the Jackson, AL (my hometown) newspaper, The South Alabamian. Of course, it has to meet the standards of The Pad or it just wont cut it....it must contain something interesting (such as PePaw grew a 25 pound tomato), humorous (like below headline) or simply downright redneck (Jesse caught a 6-pound Bluegill with a Barbie Zebco 33). Now, I'm not calling anybody from the J-Town a redneck, that would be like the pot calling the kettle black. But, you have to admit, their everywhere. We will start with what could be their headline of the year (thats some expensive cocoa!):
