Random Thoughts

--Mac dog got neutered two weeks ago today. He's not happy. I'm not happy. We are miserable!
--I've heard more out of Dick Cheney in the last month than I ever did during his 8 years as VP. Note to Cheney: You're not in office any more.
--If I spend more that 30 minutes on the phone per month on non-business conversations, there's something wrong. I simply do not talk on the phone for fun.
--The last I heard, former Texas Tech quarterback Graham Harrell couldn't even get an invitation to try out as a free agent for an NFL team. But JPW can? am I missing something?
--Michael Vick finally got released from prison, and the NFL is "considering" re-instating him. I am a dog lover and I still may get scolded for saying this but... Sheesh. The man went to prison. He lost his house. Heck, he lost everything. How much more punishment do you want to dish out? Give the guy a chance to be productive again. I dont think he will ever be a starting QB in the NFL anyway. The system has changed too much and his style just doesn't fit anymore.
--You know your in a high tone restaurant when they have "squirt bottles" of special sauce.
--Video one: ESPN anchor giggles through marijuana story. Good times.
--Video two: Minor league pitcher has a very difficult time trying to execute back to back intentional walks. Fail.
--Isn't it great when someone pulls you aside to tell you "what's really going on" in a hushed voice?
--I'm not sure I buy all this "affair" business between the parents of John and Kate Plus 8. They couldn't buy this much publicity.
--I had the weirdest dream that I had bought a commercial trailer that came unhooked from my vehicle on a bridge -- blocking traffic for miles. I spent the entire night trying to find the title for the tow truck guy.
--My fridge is broken....again.
--Wanda Sykes is not funny.
--44 cents for a stamp? And how can I feel that it is both ripoff and a bargain at the same time?
--Got behind the dreaded slow-self-checker-grocery-lady the other day. You know: Pick up product. Hold it in front of you and slowly look for bar code. Slowly slide bar code over scanner. Take a step to grocery bag. Slowly place item in bag. Repeat. Agony.
--Obama pronounces Pakistan as PAWK-i-stan.
--A couple times a month I'll say in public (about someone who has struck me as a tad bit off), "That guy is a little odd." Without fail, someone always says, "Look who's talking." Somebody want to tell me something?
--The weathermen aren't doing a very good job lately.
--Whatever happened to Michael Richards (Kramer from Seinfeld) after his nightclub debacle?
--We live in a politics of fear kind of world: The Swine Flu, Bush: "they'll follow us home" from Iraq, Obama: "the economy is going to collapse", John Ed over-the-top weather warnings, incoming hurricanes being a "possible Category 5", and the list goes on.
--Speaking of fear: The Taliban appears to be in the process of taking over large portions of Pakistan. Last time I checked, Pakistan had nukes. Yet another reason to quit jacking around in Iraq and focus on what's important.
--Drives me insane: The U.S. Army will pay Stewart-Haas Racing $11.6 million to sponsor Ryan Newman's car for 23 races this season. I guess Pakistan will have to just wait.
--I think I've got a friend who is bipolar.
--Work has been crazy busy so posts have been sporadic....sorry!
--Just had a guy call me and asked me if I wanted to play golf this morning. Uh, yeah but no.
--I now use my debit card for almost everything and never go to the cash machine.
